Life at changins

The Changins campus offers an ideal study environment, designed with student well-being and success in mind. Located in a quiet, green setting, the school enjoys an ideal location close to public transport and amenities.

Located directly on the school grounds, the Changins campus offers rooms for rent in the villa, in the heart of a privileged study environment.

The FMEL (Fondation Maisons pour Étudiants Lausanne) also offers around ten rooms at the Zénith residence, located at the Marcelin Cantonal Agricultural School (Morges).

Eating out

The Eldora restaurant and cafeteria welcome students from Monday to Friday, from 6.30am to 4pm.

Lunch is served from 12 noon.

 

Students enjoy preferential rates upon presentation of their student card.

 

Every day, chef Cyril Colson offers delicious cuisine made from fresh, regional produce.

For meals on the go, a picnic area and three microwave ovens are available.

The reception desk is open:

  • Monday to Friday

  • from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Student area

A space dedicated to students is available during school opening hours on the first floor.

It is equipped with:

 

  • hot and cold drink machines

  • a pool table

  • a relaxation area

Cabinets and lockers

Personal lockers are provided for storing boots, work clothes and school equipment.

Information technology

  • CHANGINS offers a high-performance IT infrastructure, including:

  • a personal user account (login and password)

  • access to the software required for training

 

  • The school participates in the Poseidon project, allowing students to benefit from preferential rates on the purchase of PC or Mac laptops.

Newspapers

From 10:20 a.m., a selection of daily newspapers is available in the reading corner, located in the student area.

Student card

Each student receives a student card that gives them access to various benefits, particularly in bookshops and for sporting and cultural activities.

HES students can also order an ISIC (International Student Identity Card), which offers numerous benefits in Switzerland and internationally (travel, leisure, restaurants, shopping, etc.).

Sports and leisure activities

The town of Nyon has numerous sports facilities:​

indoor and outdoor swimming pools​

ice rink

beach volleyball courts (summer)

water sports (sailing, paddleboarding, etc.)

Activities organised by the school are also offered throughout the year and are open to students and staff.

Mobility & transport

PubliBike

A PubliBike station is available on campus.

Students benefit from reduced rates for subscriptions.

Public transport

The campus is served by post buses.

Bus stop: Nyon – Changins station.

Parking

A paid car park is located to the north-west of the school.
